For students ages 10 to 13

 

Game Design Academy provides a fun and engaging introduction to concepts of game design and computer science. Over the course of a week, students will explore game mechanics, remix existing games and create new games from scratch. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate on giant touchscreen TVs, create original music using code, and playtest each other’s games. The program takes a student-centred learning approach and seeks to equip the students with the knowledge and tools to continue delving into game design and computer science after the camp is over. No previous programming experience is required.
